Our products are made with the future in mind. We believe that a the main structure in the building should not have an expiration date. In line with this philosophy, our elements does not bear an expiration date.
The building elements can be reused in other builds, even after a very long time has passed. When being produced, the production waste of the elements is nothing more than just 4 A4 size sheets of membrane. Our element walls have some of the best insulation figures in the world. This is why houses made with our elements, are energy efficient and do not waste unnecessary energy.
All of our elements are made in accordance with passive house standards. Our way of building is one of only 6 systems in the world certified for “Cold” climates. The certification-process is done by the Passive House Institute ( PHI ) in Germany.

A Passive house will reduce your heating electricity bill. However, a mere reduction is not good enough for us. Therefore, our passive EON houses takes energy efficiency even further.
We have documented the energy usage needed to heat a square meter of a house built with our system and materials. The energy usage is as low as 9,7 kWh/year/m2.
A passive house in Cold climate has a need of 17 kWh/year/m2 in heating. Typical for a standard new house in cold climate is a need of 40 kWh/year/m2 in heating. Compared to this you will save 76% in energy usage in an EON v/s standard houses and 43% EON v/s standard passive. For a 250m2 house, the energy saving between EON and standard is a staggering 7.500 KWh / a year, or up to 0,75 Gigawatt hours when using a timespan of a couple of generations. If you have an older house, the typical energy usage for heating is greater than 100 kWh/year/m2. If you compare our building technique and materials to an older house, then an increase of 90% energy efficiency or more is a realistic expectation.
SAVING NATURAL RESOURCES
By using our patented solution, we use 50% less wood and 20% less insulation compared to traditional walls with the same U-value/insulation properties.
Our elements can be reused. For instance, you may use the elements to build a kindergarten, and after 50 years have passed, the kindergarten can be disassembled without the elements going to waste. The elements can after disassembly be used in a new building project, for example to build a nursing home.
There are no materials in the elements that have an expiration date. The elements are only bolted together and can easily be disassembled without sustaining damage. There is nothing preventing the elements from being used in another project after they have served their first intended purpose.
This is the first step for achieving a circular economy where waste no longer exists, and where products are made to last for generations to come.
EON Element has no expiration date, no better before date.
EON Element is the only element in a building that has the principle of eternity built in.
The reason for this is that this product can be easily dismantled when the house is to be demolished.
Therefor, EON Element introduces repurchase of used elements of up to 500 NOK for each element.
FULL WASTE CONTROL
Reduce waste at the building site. As of now the only non-recyclable waste from the production of our elements are 4 pieces of A4 size of wind barrier sheets. The byproduct from our production is of course handled in accordance to high standards of waste management.
When shipping our elements to the recipentens, they are placed on a pallet and fastened with straps which can be returned for reuse. As our elements are solid and weather-robust, there are no need for them to be wrapped in plastic or any other forms of protection while being in transit. The elements are sealed by design and can withstand rain.
Our building system has been proven by the research institute to be one of the worlds most Eco-friendly building system available when it comes to durable buildings with controllable indoor climate.
Both to build the building and also during the entire life span.
The research-institute compared our house with a passive house and concluded with the following :
25% less emissions of carbon footprint when building the house
12% less carbon footprint when operating the house
45% lower energy need for heating.
